Buddhists in Sri Saket and around the country enthusiastically attended Luang Pu Nenkham Chattigo’s birthday congratulation ceremony on 18 September.
Pra Dhamma Thiti yarn, head of section 10 (Dhammayutti), Roi Et, Pra Dheb Pariyattiwimol, rector of Mahamakut Buddhist university, Pra Yarnwiseth, head of Sri Saket province (Dhammayutti), Pra Dheb Wongsajarn, head of section 9’s advisor, Pra Raj Dhamma Kosol, head of Ubon Ratchathani (Dhammyutti), Pra Raj Kittirangsi, Pra Kru Siri Dhammanukorn, Luang Pu Somboon Khantigo, President of Wat Pa Khanti Dhamma and Luang Pu Nenkham’s teacher, and Pra Maha Sun Sujinno kindly attended the ceremony on 17 -18 September, 2008.
On September 17, 2008 there were the ceremony of laying a sacred foundation stone for building the biggest baby Buddha Image in the world (23 meters height), the ceremony of ordaining as a Brahmma, the ceremony of stirring sacred rice, Thai senior Sanghas’s Dhamma debation led by Pra Dhamma Thitiyarn, section 10 (Dhammayutti), and Dhamma concert by Sathien Tummue in World-Dhamma and Peace album.
On September 18, 2008 all Buddhists who were attending the ceremony, giving almsfood for the monks in the early morning, then Dhamma discourse was kindly presented by his Venerable Pra Dhamma Thitiyarn. In the afternoon there was watering ceremony to congratulate Luang pu Nenkham. There were about 100,000 people attending at the ceremony.
